The DarkStar Group is Hiring an IT Program Manager (TS/SCI + Poly) Near Mc Lean, VA

Description
The DarkStar Group is seeking an IT Program Manager with a TS/SCI Poly clearance (applicable to this customer) to join one of our top projects in McLean, VA. Below is an overview of the project, as well as information on our company, our benefits, and our $25,000 referral program.
THE PROGRAM
The DarkStar Group is a member of 100% of the winning teams for the largest technology program in the Intel Community. We've been supporting this customer on many different sub-projects of this program since our founding in 2013. We've grown on this effort by providing the customer with Engineers who have done exceptional work, and we've retained our staff by paying very strong salaries, and working hard to ensure each Engineer is doing work that aligns with their career interest.
THE PROJECT
The Sponsor is seeking support for a joint Department of Homeland Security initiative. This program is comprised of frontend, backend, and DevOps operations that includes development of new system capabilities; extension and maintenance of bulk data pipeline; and enhancements for the program’s application hosted on multiple platforms including the Sponsor’s cloud computing environment.
THE ROLE

  • The Contractor shall support the development of strategy to help define the program’s technical direction, such as by leading technical planning activities including roadmap development and systems integration.
  • The Contractor shall participate in development of technical project plans, reports, and contract (e.g., PMR) briefings.
  • The Contractor shall leverage industry or government standards and widely accepted best practices to define processes and procedures that ensure secure and reliably functioning systems and services
  • The Contractor shall assist in identifying and tracking of program action items, tracking and monitoring of ongoing projects and initiatives, coordination of project schedule(s), and capturing meeting minutes.
  • The Contractor shall identify programmatic and technical risks to the program, and work with teams to address and mitigate these risks.
  • The Contractor shall assist the program Sponsor with assessing, documenting, and tracking program requirements.
  • The Contractor shall collaborate with customers and Sponsor leadership to set priorities, implement tasking, and provide deliverables that are compliant with project schedules, priorities, and standards.
  • The Contractor shall collaborate with a variety of customers and contractors, which may include technical consultation, meeting coordination and support (e.g., TEMs), and preparation and support of technical briefings.
  • The Contractor shall support Agile development.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated experience in tailoring project management and systems engineering fundamentals in complex environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in optimizing work processes within the operations and support functions of the systems lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated experience providing program planning and coordination support.
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating (verbally and in writing) across programs and with clients, stakeholders, and other contractors.
  • Demonstrated experience managing priorities across multiple projects.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating and supporting Agile (Scrum or Kanban) activities
  • Certification(s): Active Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification

Desired Skills (Optional)

  • Demonstrated experience supporting the technical processing of vetting support requests for analytical comparison against the Sponsor’s holdings.
  • Demonstrated experience with computer processing platforms such as computers, mobile, and I.O.T. and using that knowledge working in a clustered computing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting the development of big data software applications.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager/Team Lead of an IC technical team.
